3 Companies That Could Go Bankrupt in 2020

Hundreds of oil and gas companies have already filed for bankruptcy protection this year, including several notable names. That list is likely to grow in the coming weeks since many more are on the brink after failing to make interest payments over the past month. Meanwhile, many more are at risk of filing this year because of their shrinking liquidity.

The ever-growing list of companies that seem bankruptcy bound includes many popular oil stocks. Three oil companies at high risk of going bankrupt this year are Callon Petroleum (NYSE: CPE)Oasis Petroleum (NYSE: OAS), and Kosmos Energy (NYSE: KOS). Each one ranks among the 100 largest holdings of popular stock trading app Robinhood, meaning many investors could get burned if they go belly up.
