Penny stocks tend not to live up to the hype that draws investors to them. But that doesn't mean anyone has to shell out a ton of dough just to buy more than a few shares of a great company. Plenty of worthy stocks are currently trading for less than $10 each.
If a low-priced stock is more palatable to you than higher-priced one, take a look at ADT (NYSE: ADT), Glu Mobile (NASDAQ: GLUU), or First BanCorp (NYSE: FBP). All three are compelling prospects, and you can own a full 100-share round lot of each for less than $1,000 apiece.
