As Markets Crumble, These 2 Retail Stocks Are Sounding the Alarm

Stocks were broadly lower on Thursday, giving up early gains as investors began to worry more about looming macroeconomic data and the likely course of the U.S. economy.

A substantial drop in bank stocks reflected rising concerns in the face of high-profile bank liquidations and capital raising activity. By the end of the day, the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) fell more than 2%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) and S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) were down almost that much.
