Facebook Names Former Treasury Official as Lead Independent Director

Facebook (NASDAQ: FB) has named Robert Kimmitt, the former deputy Treasury Secretary under President George W. Bush, as lead independent director. 

In a press release, Facebook said the appointment of Kimmitt, who also served as U.S. Ambassador to Germany, is effective immediately.
