And latecomer Novavax (NASDAQ: NVAX) soared a mind-boggling 3,400%. But recent performance hasn't been so bright. Vaccine stocks have been on the decline -- even as some of these companies have reported billions of dollars in revenue and profit.

The pandemic continues. But some experts predict it may shift to an endemic situation as soon as this year. As a result, investors have been worrying about the financial picture for these companies once the coronavirus situation eases. Does this mean it's too late to buy vaccine stocks today?
