Companies that pay a regular dividend to their shareholders are usually profitable on a recurring basis, can offer clear long-term growth outlooks, and have often demonstrated that they can successfully navigate uncertain climates. In addition, income stocks have a lengthy history of outperforming their peers that don't offer a payout over the long run.
