For more than a half-century, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A)(NYSE: BRK.B) CEO Warren Buffett has been putting on a clinic for Wall Street. Based on annualized total returns (including dividends) since the mid-1960s, the affably named "Oracle of Omaha" has practically doubled up the benchmark S 500 (19.8% vs. 10.2%, as of Dec. 31, 2023).

On an aggregate total return basis, this outperformance is even more pronounced -- a roughly 36,000% total return for the S 500 versus a nearly 5,000,000% return for Berkshire's Class A shares (BRK.A), as of the closing bell on June 26, 2024.
