NIO's Fourth-Quarter Loss Narrowed, but the Outlook Is Mixed

Chinese electric-vehicle maker NIO (NYSE: NIO) reported an operating loss of $406 million for the fourth quarter of 2019, an improvement from its $509.5 million loss in the year-ago period, as its deliveries increased by 3.1% to 8,224 vehicles.

But the company said it expects deliveries and revenue to be down in the first quarter of 2020, as sales have declined amid the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus in China.
