That sell-off was surprising; Oracle soundly beat analyst estimates on both the top and bottom lines. Oracle's revenue rose 7% annually to $9.21 billion during the quarter, beating expectations by $180 million and marking its fifth straight quarter of positive sales growth. Much of that growth was attributed to the strength of its cloud businesses.
