T-Mobile and Walmart Team Up on 5G

Many consumers aren't really aware of the benefits of 5G yet. After all, there is no "killer app" accessible only on 5G... at least not yet. And for many, 4G service does the job just fine.

However, one area where it could make a big difference is in rural America, especially with the advent of 5G-based wireless home broadband. Fast broadband access is much more limited in rural America, so 5G-based home broadband could make a big difference in regions where the latest fiberoptic or cable-based broadband service isn't available, and likely won't be for some time.

That's where the new partnership between 5G leader T-Mobile US (NASDAQ: TMUS) and Walmart (NYSE: WMT) comes in, and it's a partnership that could benefit both companies handsomely.
