The 1 Thing Investors Missed From Pinterest's Q2 Earnings

Pinterest (NYSE: PINS) was a prime beneficiary of stay-at-home orders following the pandemic's onset. As folks stayed home more often, they looked to the image-based social media app for inspirational ideas. 

In all, Pinterest attracted over 60 million monthly active users (MAUs) since the start of the pandemic, before losing more than 20 million when economies started reopening. The reversal of MAU growth spooked the market, and the stock fell in response. Still, investors missed one major thing from the company's second-quarter earnings report that reflects a brighter picture.
