The stock market had a tough week as Friday's declines added to those from the prior couple of days. Worries about a potential recession remained foremost in investors' minds, and all three of the major U.S. indexes -- the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) -- ended the session down by about 1%.
