For nearly six decades, Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A)(NYSE: BRK.B) CEO Warren Buffett has been put on a pedestal by Wall Street -- and with good reason.
Since the "Oracle of Omaha," as Buffett has come to be known, took the reins in the mid-1960s, he's overseen a greater than 5,710,000% cumulative return in Berkshire's Class A shares (BRK.A), as of the closing bell on Aug. 29. He's also practically doubled up the annualized total return, including dividends, of the widely followed S 500 over the same span.
