Why Carnival, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean Stocks Sank Today

Shares of cruise ship operator Carnival (NYSE: CCL) (NYSE: CUK) sank on Wednesday morning, down 4.3% as of 11 a.m. ET, followed in swift succession by the stocks of rival cruise operators Royal Caribbean (NYSE: RCL) and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NYSE: NCLH) -- down 3.9% and 4.4%, respectively.

Comments by Carnival CEO Arnold Donald in a Yahoo! Finance Live segment this morning appear to have sparked the sell-off -- but they're not the only thing going wrong with cruise stocks today.
