Why GoPro's Shares Plunged 15.3% Today

Shares of action camera company GoPro, Inc. (NASDAQ: GPRO) plunged as much as 15.3% in trading Wednesday as investors looked for safer stocks. Shares were still down 12% as of 3 p.m. EDT and show no signs of bouncing back today. 

There wasn't any GoPro specific news out today, but this week the company started discounting its best-selling action camera. The Hero8 Black is now available for just $299.99 and a package with a memory card and accessories is just $349.99, a $100 discount.
