Why Shares of Covetrus Tumbled Today

Shares of Covetrus (NASDAQ: CVET), a supplier of products, services, and software to the veterinary industry, were down on Tuesday after the company announced the resignation of its CEO. The stock had dropped 10.9% by 12:20 p.m. EDT.

Benjamin Shaw has stepped down as president and CEO. Shaw had been at the helm since the company was formed by the merger of Vets First Choice and the animal health business of Henry Schein that was spun off earlier this year.
