AKKA Technologies and the Institut Polytechnique des Sciences Avancées (IPSA) sign a partnership for technological research and education

At the 50th Paris Air Show, the IPSA, a renowned engineering college specialising in aeronautics and space systems, was the 29th organisation to join the network of honoured AKKA partners. This signature confirms the Group's desire to continue to strive for excellence and offer our clients engineers capable of providing the best solutions to their industrial projects.

The need for experts at the cutting-edge of aeronautical technology

Founded in 1961, the IPSA is a renowned engineering college specialising in aeronautics and space, introducing 150 engineers to the employment market every year to go into positions with considerable added value. The young future engineers follow a comprehensive technical curriculum that helps them apply their aeronautical expertise to other sectors including automotive, rail, naval, telecoms, energy and IT. The teaching staff, 80% of whom have positions in industry, help to develop the qualities in their students that fit in with AKKA's philosophy: mobility, international openness and an understanding of the industrial environment.

“We are thrilled to be able to welcome the IPSA into our circle of partners,” enthuses Anne Chamarande, Recruitment Communication Manager. “It is crucial for the Group to be able to offer students the chance to talk to professionals about emerging technologies, but also to offer our increasingly demanding clients young people who can respond to their need for innovation and technology”.

AKKA, a vital partner for engineering colleges

AKKA's desire to forge links with colleges training engineers in cutting-edge sectors through conferences, themed courses, business visits, internships and job offers, offers a comprehensive overview of life as an engineer and helps students nurture the critical mindset required to dare to imagine and build the airplanes of the future.

For Sylvie Guigou, Assistant Director for Business Relations explains, “Every year, we train young people to work towards industrial excellence. Our training is committed to triggering their curiosity about innovation and technological research, so we feel very confident about working alongside AKKA Technologies, a key player in Engineering R&D.”

With this agreement, the Group consolidates its position as a leader in the aeronautical engineering industry, reinforcing its capacity to work with major clients on industrial issues by providing increasingly qualified engineers.

As a reminder:

AKKA Technologies is set to recruit 3,000 people in 2013, half of whom will be employed in France.

An international group offering a wide range of services, AKKA Technologies has built a unique European platform, and is gearing up to accelerate its international development. Thanks to its new impetus, in the medium term, the Group will achieve an operating margin of €100M.
