Since the mid-1960s (when Buffett took over as Berkshire CEO), the broad-based S 500 has generated a total return, including dividends paid, of roughly 33,700%. Compare that to Berkshire Hathaway's Class A shares (BRK.A), which are higher by around 5,075,000% under the affably named "Oracle of Omaha."
