Hornbach Group net sales growth to slightly exceed guidance

Based on preliminary, unaudited results, the Management of Hornbach Holding AG & Co. KGaA (ISIN DE0006083405) expects net sales in the fiscal year 2021/22 (March 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022) to have increased by 7.7% to EUR 5,875 million. This is slightly above the range of +2% to +7% communicated in the guidance update on December 7, 2021.

The strong sales growth was driven by continued high demand for home improvement products as well as increasing inflation which affected purchasing and selling prices.

The preliminary and unaudited adjusted EBIT rose approx. by 11% to about EUR 364 million which is within the guided range of EUR 330 million to EUR 380 million.

In the Trading Statement, due for publication on March 22, 2022, the Hornbach Group will report in further detail on the sales performance in the 2021/22 financial year.

The final figures and full details on the earnings performance in the 2021/22 financial year will be published on May 17, 2022 in the annual report.
