The retail industry has experienced tough times lately, and even some niche areas of the sector have faced challenges. Liquidity Services (NASDAQ: LQDT) specializes in selling surplus inventory for its corporate and government clients, and it has gone through a significant transformation as it attempts to transition away from heavy reliance on the Defense Department toward a broader client base.
