The stock market had a solid day on Thursday, with only the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) failing to join in the rally that the Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) and S 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) enjoyed. The Nasdaq in particular jumped sharply, lifted by the latest news on the artificial intelligence (AI) trend from a giant in the semiconductor industry.
