Tesla Stock and Lithium Stocks Party on China's Plans to Ban Gas-Powered Cars

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile (NYSE: SQM), or SQM, and Albemarle (NYSE: ALB) stocks have been partying like it's 1999, jumping 9.9%, 14.3%, and 6.8%, respectively, in the first four trading days of this week, with the bulk of the gains coming on Monday. 

The electric-vehicle (EV) specialist and the world's two largest lithium producers largely have China to thank for the strong week their stocks have been having.
