The S 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) and Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) also fell, responding to comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell that the central bank intends to stay flexible to react to whatever the economy demands from monetary policy.
