Why Tellurian Stock Is Soaring Higher Today
(NYSEMKT: TELL) has found a buyer, and the deal offers an impressive 75% premium to where the stock closed on Friday.
Shares of Tellurian soared 66% higher on Monday morning after the natural gas exporter agreed to be acquired by Woodside Energy Group (NYSE: WDS).
Tellurian has taken investors on a wild ride over the last decade. The company was founded in 2016 by Charif Souki, the architect of successful energy company Cheniere Energy. He had a plan to borrow from the Cheniere playbook and build a liquified natural gas (LNG) export terminal.
