Turnover in third quarter 2014

Clermont-Ferrand, November 14^th, 2014 – METabolic EXplorer, a green chemistry company specialised in developing biological processes to produce industrial chemical compounds used in a wide range of everyday goods (textile fibres, paints, solvents, plastics, animal feed, adhesives, etc.), is reporting its financial information for the third quarter of 2014.

Turnover and cash position

METabolic-EXplorer generated turnover of €1,052,000 in the third quarter of 2014. This figure corresponds to income recorded during the period under review, including the contribution from Roquette Frères to the cost of realising value from L-Methionine technology, and the first upfront payment booked in early July 2014 further to an agreement with SK Chemicals.

Gross cash at hand under IFRS totalled €13.3 million at 30 September 2014. That number includes the first upfront payment from SK Chemicals, and a payment from Roquette Frères to the cost of maintaining the intellectual property portfolio in the first half.

After repayment of debt over the period, cash at hand net of debt under IFRS stood at €4.1 million at 30 September 2014.
