3 Things Intel Corp. Earnings Told Us About Its Memory Business
Intel (NASDAQ: INTC) announced a decision to double-down on its non-volatile memory business about two years ago. The company said it would be converting its logic chip manufacturing facility in Dalian, China, into a non-volatile memory manufacturing plant.
The plant, known as Fab 68, is ultimately expected to produce both 3D NAND memory as well as 3D XPoint memory, a technology that the company hopes will dramatically expand its total addressable market in the data center.
