Investors are also likely familiar with the tech giant. Amazon has been one of the best-performing stocks over the last generation, and has established leading positions in two separate industries: e-commerce and cloud computing.
However, past performance isn't a guarantee of future success on the stock market, and Amazon faces a new set of challenges under CEO Andy Jassy, including navigating an increasingly dicey regulatory environment.
