Amazon's Bombshell Announcement Overshadowed its Breakout Results
Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) stunned investors earlier this month when it revealed that Jeff Bezos would step down as CEO and assume the role of executive chairman. Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS) will assume the role of CEO, with the transition scheduled for the third quarter. The announcement eclipsed the company's fourth quarter results, as Amazon closed out the year on a high note.
