Apple Poised to Announce Shift to Internal Chips at Developers Conference
Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) long-rumored shift to internal chips to power its Mac computers could be announced later in June during the iPhone maker's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC).
If Apple makes the announcement at its WWDC conference slated to kick off June 22, it would give developers enough time to prepare for the move, reports Bloomberg. The shift could be a blow to Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), which currently supplies the main processors for Apple's Macs even though Apple isn't a large player in the PC market.
