Stocks continued on Tuesday to try to claw back some of the ground they lost earlier in 2022. Investors appeared to be of mixed opinions about the likely trajectory of the economy, interest rates, and inflation, but after the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) spent some of the morning lower, they all finished the day with gains of nearly 1%.
