The stock market moved sharply higher on Wednesday, buoyed by hopes that Washington might reach some kind of resolution to the debt ceiling debate. Gains for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) all topped 1%, bouncing back from weakness earlier in the week.
