In the wake of Equifax's massive data breach, millions of Americans are worried that their personal information could now be used for fraudulent purposes.

The company is offering free credit monitoring for one year, and while it's certainly a good idea to monitor your credit through Equifax or another credit-monitoring service, it's also important to know what to do if you notice an account or credit inquiry that you don't recognize on your credit report.
