I do not think there is any conspiracy to keep the real data from us. Like all measurements, they are not perfect and can be improved, but they are not lies. This idea that the official inflation numbers are not true, gained traction after the anti-Fed crowd’s prediction of catastrophic inflation arising from QE didn’t materialize. Do you really think that the stock market has not expanded more than inflation?
