There have been hundreds of special purpose acquisition companies, or SPACs, created over the past couple of years. And these have been led by many investors, some of whom bring extremely impressive resumes to the table.
However, no SPAC CEO has established a more impressive track record than Chamath Palihapitiya. His Social Capital Hedosophia SPACs have already taken public Virgin Galactic (NYSE: SPCE), Opendoor Technologies (NASDAQ: OPEN), and Clover Health (NASDAQ: CLOV), and we recently learned that Social Capital Hedosophia V (NYSE: IPOE) has agreed to take fintech start-up SoFi public in 2021.
