Looking For The Silver-Lining Inside The Clown Suit

There is much that can, should, and must be said about what happened this week. The Donald sure showed them that you can’t humiliate him in public and get away with it. He triumphed over everyone who ever doubted him. He now occupies the pilot’s chair, having kicked-out the colored guy that made fun of him. But, revenge served hot — and the Donald’s was nuclear hot — invariably ends in sickening regret. We don’t think he is feeling very comfortable right now.

In fact, we suspect that he is scared. Scared that he is going to fail and end up humiliated again. The Donald was almost as stunned as the rest of the world by the election result. He knows how historically and uniquely unqualified and unprepared he is for this new reality show. And that, ironically, is what gives us hope that America can continue functioning during Trump’s tenure. It may be his greatest fault that ends up saving him (and the country) from total disaster; his narcissism. His ego cannot handle failure, especially a failure that simply cannot be blamed on anyone else, since the buck stops at the White House.

We hope that this fear of failure pushes him to hire the best minds from BOTH parties, that they speak the truth to him, and that he listens to them. If that happens, we might just be okay. We NEED his presidency to be successful.
