Sea was founded in 2009 as an online gaming company serving Southeast Asia. Sea's Garena platform distributes video games from game publishers to users in Indonesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. Garena is akin to the Steam gaming platform in the United States.
