Everything seemed to be chugging along on Wall Street on Tuesday until late afternoon. Between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. EDT, the entire stock market took a quick nosedive. Most benchmarks had been up before that, but after the decline, things got ugly quickly. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite all lost more than 1%.
