The S&P 500 Just Hit an All-Time High, but These 3 Vanguard ETFs Have Performed Even Better Over the Last 5 Years


The S&P 500 has been on a tear,  up 10.7% year to date, 27.1% over the last 12 months, and 37.6% since the end of 2022. And over the last five years, the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (NYSEMKT: VOO) -- a mammoth exchange-traded fund (ETF) with over $1 trillion in assets -- has produced a total return (including capital gains and dividends) of over 102%.

It's an impressive feat, and yet it's still no match for the five-year total returns of the Vanguard Growth ETF (NYSEMKT: VUG), Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (NYSEMKT: MGK), and Vanguard Information Technology ETF (NYSEMKT: VGT).
