The stock market finally got the relief rally on Friday that many investors had been looking forward to seeing. Plenty of uncertainty persists, but Wall Street found some confidence that markets wouldn't simply enter freefall. By the close, gains for the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) helped at least to cushion the blow of what was still another bad week for investors.
