Optimistic views on the economy gave way to nervousness about the looming reading on inflation with the Consumer Price Index release later this week, and bond yields moved above 3% again. That sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI), S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC), and Nasdaq Composite (NASDAQINDEX: ^IXIC) down as much as 1% on the day.
