This 1 Device Could Accelerate the Mainstream Adoption of Web3 Faster Than Skeptics Thought Possible


Some are calling it the next iteration of the internet. Dial-up connections and coding characterized the first iteration of the internet. The second iteration featured faster connections and more user-friendly features. But the next iteration -- Web3 as it's being called -- could completely change the game yet again.

The problem with Web3 is that it's not user-friendly enough to be practical for mass adoption. But Solana Labs, the team behind cryptocurrency Solana (CRYPTO: SOL), might have just kicked the door wide open to Web3 mainstream adoption. Here's what is happening.

On June 23, at the NFT NYC event, Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko made a presentation, announcing a smartphone called Saga. The phone is scheduled to start being shipped early next year, and it will be an Android device. However, the phone will feature software called the Solana Mobile Stack. In other words, this phone will be built for Web3.
