Stocks pulled back on Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) and the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) both closing down about half a percent.

Transportation stocks were particularly weak today, and the iShares Transportation Average ETF (NYSEMKT: IYT) slid 1.5%. The price of crude oil fell, taking with it energy stocks; the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (NYSEMKT: XOP) fell 0.9%.
