What Happened in the Stock Market Today

Stocks continued last week's rally on Monday, fueled by optimism that the Republican tax bill will pass. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJINDICES: ^DJI) -- now up over 25% for the year -- and the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) both gained over half a percentage point, posting record highs.
