Why Generac Stock Tumbled Today
Shares of Generac (NYSE: GNRC), which makes power generators for homes and businesses, were pulling back today after the company missed the mark on the bottom line in its second-quarter earnings report and cut its guidance for the full year.
As a result, the stock was down 24.4% as of 1:21 p.m. ET.
Revenue in the quarter fell 23%, or 26% excluding the impact of acquisitions and currency exchange, to $1 billion, though that still topped estimates at $977.1 million.
