Why Virgin Galactic Stock Popped Thursday


Virgin Galactic (NYSE: SPCE) stock got a bit of a boost today, rising nearly 6% before falling back to close up 3.9%. The move came in response to a 2 p.m. tweet from the company announcing its next test flight. But here's the curious thing:

They're not testing the spaceplane that failed its flight test in December; they're testing the mothership that carries the spaceplane instead.
