The foreign exchange impact is mainly due to a drop in the value of the Euro against the US dollar (24%), CAD (10%) and GBP (12.8%)
Prismaflex International sales at €13.49 million are down 4.6%, however sequentially they are up on Q4 2014/2015 (€12.12 million), and performing better than during the second 6-month period 2014/2015.
Excluding Home Decor, Printing activity at €5.74 million (€5.56 million in n-1) is up 3.1% at current exchange rates and -1% at constant currencies. Activity in Canada and South Africa is on the up while sales in the UK are down for the period.
Home Décor at €2.40 million (€2.43 million in N-1) is stable.
Hardware activity (excluding Home Décor) at €5.35 million (€6.15 million in n-1), although down on n-1, is sequentially up (€3.63 million in Q4 2014/2015). LED activity in the USA is encouraging as is Distec's performance for traditional signage (scrolling signs in Russia). A significant number of LED sign projects are at the negotiation stage.
Outlook
On June 30, 2015, order backlog, essentially for hardware stands at €5.4 million (idem Q1 n-1).
Mid-term, Prismaflex International will fully benefit from its competitive advantages namely the group's technological leadership and the scope of its product range, particularly its LED signs.
The Annual Shareholders' Meeting will take place on September 28, 2015 in Saint Clément les Places (69930 at 2.30pm). Next press release: first 6-months turnover 2015/2016, October 20, 2015 after closure.
