Mit einer Nettomarge von ca. 20% ist der Spirituosenonzern recht profitabel und kann damit das fehlende Umsatzwachstum kompensieren. Es gab Gerüchte, dass die Finanzgesellschaft 3G Diageo übernehmen wolle. Nicht ganz aus der Luft gegriffen, denn Lemann ist auch mit über 10% Grroßaktionär bei Anheuser-Busch. Auf dem Biermarkt würde Guiness sind mit dem Angebot von AB gut ergänzen.
