Apple hat im Weihnachtsquartal 47,8 Mill. iPhones und 22,9 Mill. iPads verkauft und einen Rekordumsatz von 54,5 Mrd. USD erzielt. Wegen rückläufiger Marge wurde ein Nettogewinn von 13,078 Mrd. USD erwirtschaftet, der nur leicht über dem Vorjahreswert liegt. Der verwässerte Gewinn pro Aktie sank von 13.87 auf 13.81 wegen der höheren Anzahl Aktien.
Im Ausblick für das zweite Quartal werden 41-43 Mrd. USD Umsatz genannt mit einer Bruttomarge zwischen 37.5 und 38.5%.
