Systems on a Chip
Marvell ist eine relativ junge Firma, und besonders gut aufgestellt, bei preiswerten, integrierten Lösungen für den Consumer Markt. Sie haben vor einigen Jahren die ARM Sparte von Intel übernommen, und ich könnte mir sogar vorstellen, dass Intel diesen Bereich zurük bekommen möchte. Das wäre für Intel nicht billig, und für Marvell Aktionäre lukrativ. Marvell sollte von der Ausbreitung des Wohlstandes in den Schwellenländern erheblich profitieren.
Marvell hat u.a. auch eine integrierte Blliglösung für eine hochwertige Elektronik in LED Leuchtmitteln entwickelt. Das macht LEDs jetzt einsetzbar als Lichtquelle für den Massenmarkt. Das ist auch eine positive Meldung für Aixtron! Dieses neue Marvell Produkt wurde zu einem der "heissesten 100 Elektronikprodukte 2011" (2011 Hot 100 Products) gewählt.
