Die Ölindustrie war mal die Stärke von Texas, bei meiner letzten Kaufempfehlung von Anfang 2013. Diese Stärke ist inzwischen zur Schwäche geworden, und ich stze den Startkurs meiner letzten Empfehlung als Zielkus für die neue.
Anfang Dezember war der Ölpreis gerade mal auf 66,88 USD abgestürzt, da gab es bei den Texas-Banken-Aktienkursen eine erste Panikreaktion. Inzwischen haben sich die Kurse wieder erholt, dabei war der Ölpreis gestern bei 55,10 USD. Hier der Artikel auf Marketwatch von damals, eigentlich ein guter Artikel:
"... On Tuesday, Sterne Agee analyst Brett Rabatin said the stock market reaction had been “overdone in a few cases in Texas banks.”
The decline in oil prices will certainly slow lending growth for these banks. But what about credit losses? Rabatin said to clients that “if oil goes lower than $60, it will cause some cash flow issues with weaker companies, which could stress credit facilities.” He said oil would need to stay at or below that price for a year. ..."
... dieser Brett Rabatin hatte zum damaligen Zeitpunkt ja nicht unrecht, dass die Marktreaktion etwas übertrieben war, aber aus heutiger Sicht, wo die Lage für die Ölindustrie noch viel schlimmer ist, ist die anschließende Kurserholung auch wieder übertrieben. Etwas mehr Panik wäre durchaus angebracht ;-)
